Our Staff
Lee is a graduate of the University of Tennessee majoring in industrial psychology and business management. Relocating to Florida in 1990 with wife Vicki, Lee worked with state and county governments until 1999. Lee has also acted as intergration coordinator and practice manager for the Lee Memorial Health System.
Buttons, wife of Dr. Carpenter is a certified vet tech and has worked directly with Dr.Carpenter since 1988. She and Dr. Carpenter opened their first practice in Fort Myers in 1997. She is a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the FVMA.
Originally from Tennessee, Vicki moved to Sanibel in 1990. A registered nurse, by trade since 1974, Vicki has worked in Emergency Room, Dialysis and Open Heart for the majority of her career. In 2001 she and her husband purchased a business on Sanibel and sold that business in 2007. She has two exotic birds at home, Chico and Scarlet.
Transplanted from Virginia in 2006, Angie hasĀ been in management in the pet/pet supply industry for over 10 years. She bolsters 16 in home pets to include: cats, dogs, reptiles and birds as well as volunteering for local animal causes.

Dr. Richard M. Carpenter
1974 graduate of Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Practiced in Iowa until 1986. Relocated to Virginia where he was an assistant professor for the University of Virginia Medical School. In 1997 he established his first practice in Fort Myers. He is a member and officer for the Caloosa Veterinary Society of Lee County, Board member for the animal rescue center, a no-kill shelter, and a member of AVMA and FVMA
